2024 Ram Lineup: What's New for the 1500 and 2500
It's no secret that times are changing at Ram, as they are preparing to launch their first-ever all-electric vehicle. But until they cross that bridge, the automaker continues to tweak its current lineup of gas and diesel models with new trims, special editions, and minor updates until the new products are released. Even though changes to the Ram lineup for 2024 may not be extensive or even thrilling, we anticipate that 2025 will be a more revolutionary year for the automaker.
In the interim, we're sharing what updates and improvements are available for the 2024 Ram lineup.
2024 RAM 1500: What's New
To begin with Ram's most popular models, all 2024 Ram 1500s come equipped with a tailgate ajar warning. Ram has also reintroduced the Tradesman Warlock, a trim with off-road features including skidplates, a 1.0-inch rise in ride height, 33-inch tires, performance-tuned shocks, and a rear-locking differential. However, it isn't all good news as the Ram 1500's turbodiesel powertrain has been retired. It's also time to bid farewell to the legendary Ram 1500 TRX. As part of its high-horsepower send-off, the supercharged truck is available in a special Final Edition model for the 2024 model year. Ram provides a total of eight colors for all of its models, three of which are exclusive to this model: Harvest Sunrise, Night Edge Blue, and Delmonico Red. Every truck has beadlock-capable wheels painted in Satin Titanium, a bed decal, and a standard 6.2-liter hood badge. The cabin is equipped with trim-specific elements such as suede door panel inserts, leather-wrapped steering wheel, carbon-fiber interior accents, patina dashboard stitching, TRX emblems on the seat backs, a plaque displaying the build number, and a passenger-side TRX badge on the dashboard. There's even a special splash screen that appears on the digital instrument cluster when the TRX Final Edition powers up.2024 RAM 2500: What's New
For the upcoming model year, the heavy-duty 2024 Ram 2500 is essentially a carryover. The addition of a conventional tailgate ajar warning lamp is the only substantial change. Ram debuted a Rebel off-road trim for 2023. In addition, a Mopar performance hood, the Trailer Tow app, the digital rearview mirror, and trailer reverse steering control were introduced.
All-in-all, the 2024 Ram lineup isn't seeing any major changes from 2023 but the brand continuously promises that it will build on its already iconic legacy.
